The PETS act would end the for-profit sale of cats and dogs in pet stores throughout Massachusetts. It also includes provisions that would end the use of testing animals for non-medical purposes, prevent public housing from creating breed and size based rules, and prohibit insurance companies from using breed in their underwriting, rating, and renewal decisions.
