Thank you for helping Rocky!
Thanks to your amazing generosity, we raised more than $2,250 for Rocky's dental care! We are overwhelmed by your support.
Thank you!
Last month, we received a call from Norwood Animal Control asking if we could take in a 3-year-old cat who had been surrendered to them by the friend of an elderly gentleman no longer able to care for the cat. The cat, Rocky, was visibly stressed at the Town Shelter, surrounded by barking dogs. Rocky was neutered and microchipped, suggesting he had come from a rescue, but neither the owner nor the microchip company could provide any further information or documentation about his origins. We found an open foster home and quickly fetched Rocky from the shelter.
Rocky, a handsome grey tabby, was alternately skittish and affectionate at his foster home. After allowing him a little time to settle in, we brought him to the vet for a thorough exam and vaccines, anticipating the young cat would receive a clean bill of health. To the contrary, it was discovered his gums were severely inflamed, and he was diagnosed with something akin to stomatitis, requiring full mouth tooth extraction. In light of that, he was combo tested and a full blood work panel was performed. Fortunately, his combo test was negative and his blood work was normal. Unfortunately, the estimate for his dental procedure, scheduled for next week, is $2500. After the surgery, we hope this sweet boy will be adopted out to a loving home and will live a long and healthy life, receiving all the belly rubs he craves and deserves.
We desperately need your financial help to make Rocky’s happy future a reality. A monetary outlay of this proportion will severely impact our ability to provide for all the other cats in our care, including our Seniors-for-Seniors, especially with kitten season approaching.

A donation of any amount would be greatly appreciated.
